Staff Testimonials

Ryan Waterfall-Smith

Fulford St Oswalds

Having worked alongside Andy Crilley during his time at St Oswald's Primary School, I can only say what a fantastic influence he had on the children he worked with. I know as their class teacher at the time that the children loved their music lessons with Mr Crilley, especially the opportunities they were given to perform in the band in front of the whole school. Andy also went beyond just teaching music. He would engage in all aspects of primary school life; supporting in PE lessons and lunchtime sports, taking part in school dramas and performances for the children's entertainment and helping in the classroom where possible. Andy was a great colleague to work alongside and I hope to do so again in the future.

Mrs. Cook

School Administrator

Mr Crilley is a delight to have in the school. He is very friendly whilst also being professional and works really well with the children. He is flexible, which works very well given the amount of school trips and events we have on. He is always happy to work around whatever events we may have booked in. Andy regularly schedules assemblies and concerts for the children to play in, which is fantastic for their confidence! Andy respects the school values and the work that the teachers are doing and fits his lessons around important lessons when necessary. It's a pleasure and a privilege to have Andy come in to do lessons.

Oliver Buckett

Poppleton Year 2 Teacher

Mr Crilley is a shining example of everything you'd expect from a music teacher but with a level of passion and charisma that sets him apart from the rest. His selfless teaching style and enthusiasm extends to children of every age, all of which have shown a respectable amount of progress from year to year. With an extensive background and love for music, Mr Crilley is able to comprehensively teach relevant and awesome things that keep the children engaged and in turn, developing their love of everything musical.
